[ARCHIVED] Hydrant Flushing

The Richmond Department of Public Works will be flushing fire hydrants this Sunday, September 25, through Friday, September 30. Periodic flushing is necessary to remove debris and iron buildup from the water mains. This will agitate the water system and may discolor the water. Although it does not cause a health hazard, residents are cautioned to check the water before doing laundry. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.
