[ARCHIVED] Lifeguards Wanted & Info on American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

Looking for a fun summer job, where you can work in the sun, and be a part of a team? Then this might be the opportunity for you! The City of Richmond Community Pool will be holding an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course, run by CPR & Aquatic LLC, pre-requisite class on June 3rd and classes on June 4 & 5, 2022, 10 am - 6 pm, with the final class being held on June 11, 2022, 9 am - 3 pm at the Community Pool, 69310 Beebe Street. This course will provide the necessary training for any individual interested in working at the Richmond Community Pool as a lifeguard.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training-Bundle 1

  • June 3rd 4-8 pm/ Pre-Requisite Class (must attend & pass pre-requisite class prior to Lifeguard class)
  • June 4 & 5 10:00 am-6:00 pm
  • June 11th 9 am-3 pm final class & testing

Class held at the Richmond Community Pool - 69310 Beebe Street., Richmond, 48062

LIFEGUARD WITH BUNDLE-BLENDED LEARNING COST: $225.00

PRE-REQUISITE CLASS (NON-REFUNDABLE): $50.00

Pre-Requisites are:

  1. You must be at least 15 years of age by the first day of class and be able to provide proof of age.
  2. Swim 300 yards continuously showing rhythmic breathing, at least 100 yards breast-stroke and at least 100 yards front-crawl.
  3. Completed a timed event where you retrieve a 10 pound object from the bottom of at least 6 feet of water.
  4. Tread water for 2 minutes without using your hands.

Lifeguards that work a full season at the Richmond Community Pool will be reimbursed for the cost of the Lifeguard Training Class at the end of the summer.
