[ARCHIVED] Richmond Police Officers Association Pig Roast - UPDATE!

PIG ROAST UPDATE -  August 1st Beebe Park

The Richmond Police Officers Association (RPOA) is hosting a Pig Roast on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Beebe Street Park, 12pm - 4pm. Richmond Police Officers will be working the event, including serving food to all attendees. The planned menu will be pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, hot dogs and chips. You are allowed to bring your own Beer and Wine, drinking only in a designated area.  This event is a community outreach event and is open to the public. Great way to get to know our officers and the newer hires. 

Tickets for the pig roast will be sold at the door. To let the RPOA know that you plan to attend, you can visit their Facebook page by searching Richmond Police Officers Association, MI and RSVP to the event.  However, it is not necessary to RSVP.

Here is the a list of the events that we will have at our 1st Pig Roast / Golf Cart Rodeo.  
Thank you to Motor City Karts, Mt. Clemens for securing a Golf Cart and Trent Peshek - Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home for donating the prize money and the plates.
Food - Pulled Pork, Coleslaw, Baked Beans and Water $10, Hot Dog, Chips and Water $5
Dunk Tank - 4 Officers have agreed to sit in the Dunk Tank $5 for 3 throws.
Bake Sale - We have had wonderful people agree to donate bake goods for this sale.
50/50 Raffle, Face Painting for kids (tip jar will be set up), bounce house and a "Jail Cell" will be set up for photo at no cost.
And of course the big event the Golf Cart Rodeo.  Teams will have a chance to win up to $200.  $150 for the timed course and $50 for the last course.  You still have time to enter your team into this event.  WE HAVE EXTENDED THE GOLF CART RODEO REGISTRATION UNTIL JULY 25TH.  If you plan on attending please return your forms. Thank you. 
The Golf Cart winner will be announced.
Lets all hope for sunshine and warm weather.  This event will happen Rain or Shine.  Hope to see everyone there.

In addition to the pig roast, there will also be a dunk tank, face painting, 50/50 raffle and a Golf Cart Rodeo. All registered golf cart owners in the City of Richmond should have received a registration form to participate. Registration forms are due by July 16th. Two events will take place, a timed event and a non-timed event; cash prizes will be awarded to the winner of each event. 

The RPOA is also hosting a bake sale during their Pig Roast event. They are calling on all bakers to please consider donating some baked goods to their sale. Anyone interested in donating, please contact Dana Maclean at dmaclean@richmondpolice.net. All donated items must be received by July 31st

The drawing for the 2021 EZ-GO Valor Golf Cart Raffle will also take place at the Pig Roast. The golf cart raffle tickets are sold out.  The Golf Cart being raffled off is courtesy of Motor City Karts in Mt. Clemens.
