[ARCHIVED] Attention Richmond Registered Golf Cart Owners!

Own a Golf Cart? Is it registered in the City of Richmond? Then join us for our Memorial Day Parade!

The City of Richmond is inviting all registered golf cart owners to join the 2021 Memorial Day Parade on May 31st @ 10am. Anyone interested in cruising down Main St with us, decorate your cart in Red, White & Blue & join the line up next to Bailey Park on Washington Street between Main and Beebe Streets.

The parade route for 2021 has changed and has been shortened. This year’s parade will enter Main Street at Washington Street and travel south to Water Street. After the completion of the parade, a brief ceremony will take place at the Veterans Memorial in the pocket park on the west side of Main Street (next to Maniaci’s Banquet Hall). The block of Main Street between Monroe and Water Streets will remain closed to allow the public to space out in the street to watch the ceremony. Mayor Tim Rix is scheduled to emcee the event this year.

In addition to the Richmond High School Marching Band, members of the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department, Police Department, Richmond-Lenox EMS, Richmond Little League and the Color Guard have also been invited to attend.
