From Councilor Rob
Reindel's Perspective . . .
The
City of Richmond has always been Home to me!
Being born and raised in Richmond, it only seemed natural to become involved
in local government. As a child, I recall
watching my Father and Uncle assist in guiding the city as they both held seats on City
Council. I feel honored and privileged to
follow in their footsteps on City Council and will continue to strive for the high quality
of living the city offers to the residents of the city.
Staying very active in Richmond is important to me. I am a lifelong member of the First United Church
of Christ being baptized and confirmed. I am a 1990 graduate of Richmond High School,
and a former volunteer at Richmond-Lenox EMS. Since
1994, I have been employed at Allwood building Components in Richmond and a proud member
of the United Brotherhood of Carpenter Local 1045. Since
1994, I have been a member of Richmond Volunteer Fire Department, currently serving as First Lieutenant. My wife of 8 years, Wendy and I chose to keep the
family roots in Richmond as we raise our boys Drew (4) and Nathan (2) in
Richmond so they can experience the hometown feel as they grow.
I
was elected to City Council in the November 2003 General Election. The timing was perfect, because there are many
exciting things happing everyday in the City. It
is my goal to assist the City to grow and expand in a manner that is both comfortable and
beneficial for the entire community. My
priorities on Council are continuing to strive to meet our Goals and Objectives, Public
Safety, Streetscape Completions, and as always offer the most in services to the residents
without raising taxes. In closing, I pledge to
listen to concerns and make honest and genuine decisions to keep Richmond the best small
town in Michigan that I have enjoyed for 33 years and will continue to enjoy for many
years to come.
